Transparency Is a Core Tenant at Well Woven Direct Primary Care
At Well Woven Direct Primary Care, we believe healthcare (and perhaps all industries) should be transparent to those keeping them in business (you).
How we strive towards transparency at our clinic:
-Membership Fees: currently $100 per month or $1,000 per year with no hidden fees. Appointments are included in that price so no surprise bills. On rare occasion, you might pay us “back” for discounted non-insurance labs or special supplements that we purchase on your behalf at cost so you receive the lowest possible price. However for most supplements, you pay them directly at wholesale cost and most labs are billed to your insurance or you pay the lab directly if you don’t have health insurance (see more on labs below).
-Discounted Labs: Most of our (members) patients have insurance, however if you do not, we typically use a discount lab called Rupa. If you do a bit of googling, you’ll find in this country, prices for labs are artificially inflated due to health insurance companies but with Rupa, they are almost always a fraction of the cost of a typical lab yet run through the same quality machinery/labs. To give you an idea, most members pay ~$50-$250 for annual labs. If you do have health insurance, unfortunately, the health insurance system makes it nearly impossible to obtain accurate price estimates. We will still bill them on your behalf however.
-Discounted Imaging: Most of our (members) patients have insurance; however if you do not, we typically use private imaging centers to get our members the best price. Names include Open MRI, Mountain Ultrasound and Providence Imaging. We rarely refer patients to the hospital systems in town because the pricing is typically not in our patients' best financial interest. An exception might for speciality imaging such as Breast MRI. Additionally, for people without insurance who need more simple imaging such as ultrasound, x-ray, and CAT scans, we often have a patient pay priceless so we can tell you what the price will likely be at that imaging center. If you do have health insurance, unfortunately, the insurance system makes it nearly impossible to obtain accurate price estimates however, we do the paperwork for you call Prior Authorization where we are your doctor essentially “go to bat for you” to advocate for you that the insurance company help cover your imaging.
